Dr. Gonzalez has a biology degree from Samford University.  He was awarded a doctorate degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Mass. 

Upon graduating dental school in 1997, Dr. Gonzalez entered the United States Army.  In his first year of duty, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Ft. Benning, GA.  He completed his tour of duty at Ft. Bragg, NC in the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne).  As the dentist for the 7th SFG(A), Dr. Gonzalez recieved his parachutist badge and completed the Special Forces Combat Scuba Course in Key West, FL.  He also participated in humanitarian missions in Central and South America. 

Dr. Gonzalez returned to Birmingham in 2000 where he continued providing quality dentistry as an associate in a local dental practice.

In 2003, Dr. Gonzalez created Valleydale Dental Associates to provide premier dental care in a comfortable setting for the entire family. 

His focus is family and cosmetic dentistry.
